Projects – School Participation

On Pi-Day, March 14, school staff and STEAM teachers wear Pi-oneer t-shirts to celebrate the team and their accomplishments. The team safety program has partnered with the theatre departments at both high schools to improve procedures during set building sessions and backstage activities. The team makes annual appearances at Eighth Grade Orientations, Freshman Orientations, Back-to-School Nights, and district middle school visits. Pi-oneers have also participated in the Fashion Show to benefit the Senior Class, and the “Mr. Pascack Hills Pageant,” where the team’s 2010 robot, Weeble, was a contestant. The Pi-oneers’ 2012 robot, Iron Horse, attended the 2014 and 2015 Senior Citizens’ Day at Pascack Valley High School. In 2015, the team was invited to present at Pascack Hills High School’s 50th Anniversary celebration; they were honored as a “District Defining” team.
