In 2016, Team 1676 initiated a student exchange program with The Choice School in Cochin, India to introduce them to FIRST. The students from India stayed with team members and their families for three weeks to learn about FIRST and to experience Build Season first-hand. They attended classes with Pi-oneers, visited New York City, and experienced the day-to-day life of a Pi-oneer during Build Season, including robot and non-robot Divisions. This June, Pi-oneers will be going to India for 3 weeks to establish a FIRST team at The Choice School.
